Mike Gibson for Ventura City Council

“Moving Ventura Forward Into the Future”

“Less Taxes and Fees, More Accountability”

“Priorities: The Budget,
the Economy, and Creating Jobs”

Mike Gibson is a community activist and volunteer in the City of Ventura. He has become known in the community as a passionate advocate for taxpayers with a reputation as a fiscal conservative, and an ardent supporter of a common sense approach to local government. Through his work experience, community involvement, and volunteer activities, Mike has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to public service.

Mike has always felt that the key to Ventura’s success is its sense of community. People may be initially attracted to Ventura because of its ideal coastal location, its fabulous hillside vistas, and its natural beauty, but they stay because of its safe streets, beautiful parks, and reputation for community involvement and the high quality of life it offers.

Ventura is unique in the sense that it is not a bustling metropolis like Los Angeles or Orange County, yet it possesses many of the conveniences and niceties that these larger urban areas do (i.e., great shopping opportunities, excellent community and cultural events, a vibrant downtown, and an active arts community).

Having served in local government for the past 28 years, Mike knows what it takes to make local government open and accountable to the community it serves.

With your support on November 3, Mike will bring his leadership and management skills to the Ventura City Council. Mike’s wealth of experience and commitment to excellence will allow him to understand the issues facing our city and the knowledge to ask the tough questions.

Mike would be most honored to receive your vote on November 3 to help move Ventura forward into the future!
